ALAN AMES AND ASSOCIATES REUNITES WITH THE MOODY BLUES:
Some twenty-five years after Alan Ames’ initial involvement with the Moody Blues and their groundbreaking multi platinum album and world tour “Long Distance Voyager,” Alan reunited with the band backstage at their 2005 world tour performance in Houston, Texas. “It was great to see the guys again and reminisce about the good old days and the Long Distance Voyager tour,” Ames said in a follow up interview. In conversations with the band’s new tour manager Mark Hogue, Alan was asked to dust off the original animations and video footage used in the original Long Distance Voyager world tour and make them available for the band to insert into the rest of their US and world tour to play behind the band’s live performances of the songs from that album.
“I am so happy and pleased to participate with them again after all these years,” Ames said. “They are, in my opinion one of the greatest and most influential bands in pop-rock history. Their music spanning five decades has impacted the lives of countless millions of people around the world, and has served to unite the multi-cultural facets of our planet and global society.” When asked what the future has in store with him and the band Ames said, “It looks like they are considering a retrospective multi DVD release of their discography in a few years, and I was asked to ‘please keep in touch’ as things develop in that direction. Additionally, I delivered them some new revolutionary animation footage from one of my clients, The Academy for Future Science’s award winning videos “The Light Body” and “Merkabah: Voyage of a Star Seed” for a possible collaboration concept entitled, “As Above, So Below”, which I hope will lead to another multi platinum project in the not too distant future.”
